Computer Skills – Level 4

Information Technology Skills and Computer Applications
FETAC Level 4 (B10135) and (B10009)

Jobcare offers two FETAC accredited courses at Level 4: Information Technology Skills and Computer Applications. The courses run consecutively over an 8-week period.

The courses are for people with some computer experience or who have successfully completed FETAC Level 3.

This course gives people the skills, knowledge and confidence necessary to operate computers at an essential level, and is especially relevant for those considering moving onto a Level 5 qualification. 

The first part of the course is Information Technology Skills:

Modules

• Introduction to information technology
• Introduction to data entry/keyboard
• Introduction to word processing
• Introduction to the internet
• Introduction to file management.

The second part of the course is Computer Applications:

Modules

• Introduction to databases (creating and implementation)
• Introduction to spreadsheets (using basic formulas)
• Introduction to graphics

Cost:
€80 for unemployed people
€160 for those in employment.
