Jobcare offers a QQI accredited Computer Skills course.

ICT Concepts and Computer Applications

This is an eight week computer course that includes Word 2013, Access 2013, Excel 2013, Outlook 2013, and Graphics. The course is QQI Level 4 accredited.

The course runs mornings from 10:00am to 1:00pm, Monday to Thursday. It is designed to give learners the knowledge, skills and confidence necessary to operate computers at an essential level in the modern workplace. The course is open to people with some computer experience.

On successful completion participants will gain two QQI Level 4 component certificates:

  • Information Technology Skills
  • Computer Applications

Course Fee: €200. Please Note: Payments can be made in weekly instalments.

Applicants will be assessed before enrolling to determine their suitability for the course. This is to ensure that they have some basic computer skills.

Information Technology Skills (ICT Concepts)

  • Introduction to Information Technology
  • Introduction to Data Entry/Keyboard Skills
  • Introduction to Word Processing (MS Word)
  • Introduction to the Internet & Email (Outlook & Firefox)
  • Introduction to File Management (Windows OS)

Computer Applications

  • Introduction to Databases (MS Access)
  • Introduction to Spreadsheets (MS Excel)
  • Introduction to Graphics (MS Powerpoint)
